Das erste deutsche KI Festival freut sich, dass Kurator Marcel Barsotti mit an Bord ist. Marcel ist als Kurator mit dabei und wird Workshops und Gesprächsrunden anbieten:
Im Jahr 2024 gab Marcel Barsotti sein Debüt als Filmregisseur mit dem hochgelobten Kurzfilm „TRANSFORMATION“, einer aufwendigen Science-Fiction-Produktion, die mit künstlicher Intelligenz erstellt wurde. Der Film erhielt 17 internationale Auszeichnungen und 28 Nominierungen. Im Jahr 2025 stellte Barsotti seinen zweiten KI-Film „IMPERIA“ fertig, der in Toronto, Tokio und Rom seine Weltpremiere feierte. Der 36-minütige, aufwendig gestaltete Science-Fiction-Film hat derzeit 10 Auszeichnungen und 12 internationale Nominierungen erhalten.
Bereits in 2020 begann Barsotti als Musikvideo Regisseur an diversen Projekten zu arbeiten und erhielt für sein elektronisches Musikvideo “The New Human” den David Award (2023) und für “Fields” den Onkyo Award (2023).
Der mehrfach preisgekrönte Komponist Marcel Barsotti ist ein beeindruckendes und außergewöhnliches Talent, das kraftvolle individuelle Filmmusiken und elektronische Musik schafft, die die Möglichkeiten des Geschichtenerzählens erweitern. Der Komponist ist bekannt für ein breites Genre internationaler Projekte, von dem beeindruckenden, hochprämierten internationalen Drama La Línea Imaginaria (2023) über die gefeierten Constantin-Produktionen Die Päpstin (2009) und Das Wunder von Bern (2003), den dystopischen Thriller Vergebung (2022) bis hin zu der Family Entertainment Warner Produktionen Jesus liebt mich (2012), sowie dem deutschen Dokumentarfilm Deutschland. Ein Sommermärchen (2006).
Zu Barsotti‘s zahlreichen über 174 internationalen Auszeichnungen und Nominierungen gehören u.a. German Record Critics Award, IPF Honoary Film Merit Award Toronto, Rome Independent Film Festival RIFF Award, Austrian Film Festival Award, Chicago Amarcord Television Award, New Better Filmfestival Award Munich, Camgaroo Award Munich, Korea SIAFF Award, 3x Deutscher Fernsehpreis Nominierungen, German Film Academy Nominierung und eine Nominierung für den Gema Autorenpreis..
Seit 1995 hat Barsotti die Filmmusik zu mehr als 100 nationale und internationale Filme und Werbespots komponiert, ebenso über 40 Soundtracks und Alben veröffentlicht. In diesen Jahren arbeitete er mit berühmten Regisseuren und Produzenten wie Sönke Wortmann, Günter Rohrbach, Caroline Link, Luc Besson-Production, Carl Schenkel, Josée Dayan, Eberhard Junkersdorf und Hark Bohm zusammen. Von 1982 bis 1988 studierte er Komposition, Klavier, Dirigieren und Klarinette an der Musikhochschule in München. Er ist auch CEO der weltweiten ethnischen Sample Library Ethno World. 2017 gründet er die Music Production Company Tunesformovies mit über 50 Alben. In 2025 gründete Marcel Barsotti seine Filmproduktionsfirma BAI Pictures.
Von 2019 – 2022 veröffentlicht Barsotti seine ersten elektronischen Solo-Alben Transpicuous, Earth und YOX, sowie den orchestralen Zyklus Americana. Ab 2023 begann Barsotti mit seiner ersten orchestralen Konzerttournee.

The first German AI Festival is delighted that curator Marcel Barsotti is on board. Marcel is participating as a curator and will offer workshops and panel discussions.
In 2024, Marcel Barsotti made his debut as a film director with the highly acclaimed short film “TRANSFORMATION”, an elaborate science-fiction production created with artificial intelligence. The multiple award-winning composer Marcel Barsotti is an impressive and exceptional talent who creates powerful, individual film scores and electronic music that expand the possibilities of storytelling. The composer is known for a wide range of international projects, from the remarkable and highly acclaimed international drama La Línea Imaginaria (2023), to the celebrated Constantin productions The Popess (2009) and The Miracle of Bern (2003), the dystopian thriller Vergebung (2022), as well as the Warner family entertainment production Jesus Loves Me (2012), and the German documentary Germany. A Summer’s Fairytale (2006).
Among Barsotti’s more than 174 international awards and nominations are, among others, the German Record Critics’ Award, the IPF Honorary Film Merit Award Toronto, the Rome Independent Film Festival RIFF Award, the Austrian Film Festival Award, the Chicago Amarcord Television Award, the New Better Film Festival Award Munich, the Camgaroo Award Munich, the Korea SIAFF Award, three German Television Award nominations, a German Film Academy nomination, and a GEMA Authors’ Award nomination.
Since 1995, Barsotti has composed film music for more than 100 national and international films and commercials, and has also released over 40 soundtracks and albums. During these years, he has worked with renowned directors and producers such as Sönke Wortmann, Günter Rohrbach, Caroline Link, Luc Besson Productions, Carl Schenkel, Josée Dayan, Eberhard Junkersdorf, and Hark Bohm. From 1982 to 1988, he studied composition, piano, conducting, and clarinet at the University of Music in Munich. He is also the CEO of the global ethnic sample library Ethno World. In 2017, he founded the music production company Tunesformovies, with over 50 albums. In 2025, Marcel Barsotti founded his film production company BAI Pictures.
From 2019 to 2022, Barsotti released his first electronic solo albums Transpicuous, Earth, and YOX, as well as the orchestral cycle Americana. Starting in 2023, Barsotti began his first orchestral concert tour.
